The Starting Years
Nearly three eons ago now, a young boy was born into a family on the border between Amegakure, and Kirigakure. This boy was special form the very start. His mother was a Guardian. Her name has been wiped from history, for she had bared the child of a god. It was forbidden for Gods and other races to have children, for they didn't know the effects it would have upon the world. However, every god had broken this rule at least once. The only one that had remained pure, was Gadian, until her had met the boys mother. The mother died giving birth to the baby. It was a stormy night. One unusual, even for Amegakure. The gods were feuding with Gadian. They wanted the boys life in payment for the breaking of the pact. Even though the others gods had done it, the powers this boy could possess posed a clear danger to the world. However,Gadian refused to take the boys life. instead, he secretly transported the boy to a family, of the land of mist. there the boy would be raised in secret by the leader of the land.
At the age of ten, the boy had become a high class warrior. He trained with the most elite fighters. Soon, he had garnered the attention of many people across the land, even the other races. By the age of seventeen, he had traveled the known world, excluding the Realm of the Forbidden, which he hadn't known existed. He had become the most powerful warrior in the land, able to wield powers beyond what was the norm for any human. This garnered the attention of the Gods. Gadian, in fear for the boys life, approached the leader of the Guardians. He requested the the man take a look at the boy. and possibly recruit him into the ranks of the Guardians. This was unheard of. The Guardian race had never once recruited a human into their ranks. They just weren't powerful enough. They had done it before for dragons, just never a human. That is when Gadian had revealed that the boy was actually the son of a God, and a Guardian. And the father of the boy was none other than himself.
The leader felt a certain pity towards the boy. And so after finding out that the boy was named Shadowfire, for the flame that burns brightest in the dark, he took a small contingent of Guardians, four of his most trusted friends, and they approached the boy. At the age of seventeen, Shadowfire had long white hair, that flowed gracefully to the small of his back. He had startling golden eyes, which could change color depending upon his mood, from a bright warm liquid gold color, to an onyx black, as hard as steel. He had high defined features, and a lean body. He was toned, and had a fair complexion. Her wore a white robe, and carried two swords on him. The Twin Dragons, and the Twin Serpents blades. He wore black armor, which had been enchanted long ago by his mother.
The Guardians approached Shadowfire.. The day was stormy, like the day of his birth. The Guardians bid him welcome, and spoke to him. "You're being given a chance unlike any other in this world, Mortal. We are extending a once in a lifetime invitation. We would like you to join our race. We want you to become a Guardian."
The rain poured down over their meeting sight, as lightning flashed in the sky above. Shadowfire had lost everything. The people who were his caretakers had died not to many years ago. He had no recollection of his parents, or who they were. He was being given the chance to start a new life. Shadowfire looked to the angry skies above. Two words slipped past his lips in those few moments that the world raged around them.
"Very well."
As he uttered those words, a great roar filled the air, and a blast of lightning struck from above, aiming to end his life. However, the leader of the Guardians instead pushed Shadowfire aside, and took the bolt. However, unlike any other, this bolt stripped the Leader of his power, his immortality, and his life. Flash appeared in the world of the living, wielding the immortal power of a god. He glared at Shadowfire with a rage so powerful, it threatened to incinerate him on the spot. However, something stopped Flash from dealing the death blow. Gadian appeared behind the boy, and protected him.
"You dare strike at my son! Such a betrayal. And you have killed a Guardian! What have you done Flash!"
"That boy is nothing but an abomination. This world cannot handle what you have created. A God of Gods, having a son with a Guardian woman. You don't know the power you have unleashed upon this world!"
Gadian had struck out, and knocked Flash to the ground. The remaining Guardians surrounded the boy, and began to move him from the scene. However, Shadowfire fought against them, For the first time in his life, he was getting answers. Gadian., a god, was his father! Other gods wanted him dead for that fact, but at that moment, he couldn't care less. Gadian subdued Flash, and they both vanished into the Realm of the Gods. The Guardians carted away Shadowfire to the world they lived within.
On the border between all nations, and all worlds, there was a mountain. A mountain known as Mount Larithica. Known by many names in later times, this was the mountain home of the Guardians. From the peak of this mountain, you could see the world. This is where Shadowfire was taken. This is where his life would truly begin.
